What is an NFC business card?
A physical card with an NFC chip that holds the link to your profile. Bring the card close to a compatible phone, then tap the notification. The profile opens in the browser, with no DigiCart app needed. The visitor then chooses whether to save the contact.
Does the card work with iPhone and Android?
Yes, with a compatible phone. Background NFC reading is available on iPhone XS/XR and compatible newer models, with the screen on and after the phone has been unlocked once since startup. On Android, the phone must support NFC and have it enabled. Use the QR code if NFC reading is unavailable. No DigiCart app is needed.
Can I edit my details after ordering?
Yes, at any time. Open your online dashboard to edit your contact details, photo, links and opening hours. The physical card stays the same and your profile updates instantly.
What happens if I change my phone?
Your profile stays the same: the chip is in the physical card. Use it with an NFC-compatible phone, or open the profile via its QR code or link. You can update your phone number in your customer account.
How long does the card last?
The NFC chip is passive: no battery, no charging. It works for years. Metal and wood cards are designed to last.
Where is my data hosted?
DigiCart is a Swiss business subject to Swiss data protection law (nLPD). Technical hosting is provided by Hostinger at a data centre in Europe. Your contacts are never sold, and your card is not indexed by search engines.
How much does a DigiCart card cost?
From CHF 29.– (UV Plastic Essentiel) to CHF 100.– (gold metal), including VAT. Automatic discounts: 10% from 5 cards, 20% from 16 cards. Essentiel is already discounted and cannot be combined with these offers.
What are the delivery times?
Each card is individually customised in Switzerland. Allow 5 to 10 working days after payment is received, with delivery included throughout Switzerland.
How does payment work?
The available payment methods are shown in the order form. Depending on the options offered, you can pay online via Stripe or receive a Swiss QR invoice. Production starts once payment is received.
What if I order for my whole team?
Choose the quantity in the customiser, then select “One card per person”. For four cards, enter four names and job titles; the material, logo and slogan are shared. You can still edit these details in the basket. Each person sets up their digital profile after receiving the card. Quantity discounts apply to eligible items, excluding Essentiel. For more than 60 people or a special project, contact [email protected].
How is it different from a paper business card?
A paper card keeps the details printed on it. With DigiCart, the person you meet chooses to save your details to their phone. Your digital profile stays editable without reprinting your card. Changing the physical design requires a new card.
Do I need a subscription?
No. You pay for the card once, including VAT. There are no recurring fees: your digital profile stays active and editable, with analytics, and no subscription.
Can I get a card without the DigiCart logo?
Yes. From UV Plastic at CHF 59, there is no DigiCart branding on the card: it carries your brand, not ours. Only the entry-level Essentiel at CHF 29 has the DIGICART.CH logo on the back, which is reflected in its price.
Can I get a quote before ordering?
Yes. Choose “Request a quote” in your selection, then submit your request. You’ll receive an itemised quote by email, valid for 30 days, with no commitment or payment required.
How do I add my DigiCart to Apple Wallet?
Sign in to your customer account, open the Wallet tab, then tap “Add to Apple Wallet” on your iPhone. Your profile must be public, active and not password-protected. Check the preview, then confirm the addition in Apple Wallet.
Does my Apple Wallet card work without Internet?
A pass you have already added remains viewable offline. Its “Online profile” QR needs Internet to open your profile. In the Wallet tab, choose the “Offline contact” QR or add a second contact card: this QR contains the selected public contact details in vCard format. The recipient chooses whether to save the contact, depending on the features of their QR reader.
Is DigiCart available in Google Wallet?
Yes. From your account on Android, open the Wallet tab, check your profile’s public information, then select “Add to Google Wallet”. Your profile must be public, active and without a password. Then confirm the addition in Google Wallet. The “Online profile” QR code requires Internet access; the “Offline contact” QR code contains your selected public contact details in vCard format.
